About Bone Voyage Jazz Band
Tom Hyatt and David Haldeman played together in groups around the Cincinnati area since the 1970s. When Tom returned to Cincinnati after playing in groups in Texas, Colorado, Minnesota , England and Germany, the two of them founded Bone Voyage, since both play trombones - Tom the valve trombone and trumpet and David the slide trombone. With Tom's passing on February 26, 2014, the band lost an important part of our sound.  We are fortunate to have Bill Tipkemper or Larry Daniel now playing trumpet with us.

Bone Voyage Jazz Band has been entertaining folks since 2001, and always pleases with their variety of repertoire featuring the standard music of the 20th Century

My Brother The Bear
My Brother the Bear’s music arrives with a flourish and a flair and touch of whimsy. Songwriter Daniel Bayer takes the carousel of adventures that is his life story and shapes them into memorable, melody driven songs at home both in large auditoriums and country back porches.
Smoke n' Mangos -        Smoke n' Mangos was formed in the small town of Poolesville, Maryland, with the least serious of intentions: to get first place at their high school talent show. They got third. Though they enjoyed playing, they did not think anything else was to come of the band. In the three years since that night, Smoke n' Mangos has opened for GRAMMY nominated and nationally touring artists, played the Vans Warped Tour at Merriweather Post Pavilllion, recorded three albums, recieved radio play up and down the East Coast, all while becoming best friends in the process. Being fans of just about all genres of music, the band has worked hard to create a repetoire where anyone in the crowd of any age or musical background can find something to enjoy. Praised by for playing a show marked by "an impressive range," "high spirits, and strong playing," Smoke n' Mangos gives every performance their all .

“A Little BSI History”

A group of Moeller high school grads start a band called “BlueStone Ivory” to play for high school dances and area nightclubs. This group, with its killer horn section, goes on to become one of Cincinnati’s premiere bands for the next decade. As live entertainment falls out of favor with club owners and band personnel changes, BlueStone Ivory fades from the limelight.

“BlueStone Ivory (1970)”

“BlueStone Ivory (1970)”

As the alumni prepare for their 30th high school reunion, the committee realizes that a DJ playing CD’s for a crowd accustomed to live music was not going to work and the idea of a BlueStone Ivory reunion was born. After phone calls were made to persuade the band members to come out of retirement, the challenge was accepted by the nine-piece group. Their objective was to recreate the thrill of hearing live music of the 60’s and 70’s as it was originally performed almost 30 years ago.

With the organizational skills of Bobby Myers who produced Moeller High Schools class of “69” reunion he managed to regroup seven of the nine original members. Under the direction of the keyboardist and music director Mike Fitzpatrick, original horn parts were written, fingers were callused and voices were rediscovered while horn players endured hours of lip master workouts. After seven months of practice and intense rehearsal, the reunion debut was received with the excitement and enthusiasm reminiscent of those earlier club days. As a result of the overwhelming response from the dancers that evening, the decision was made for the band to continue>>>>>>> >>>>>>> $10 cover with SNACKBAR <<<<<<<
